Doctor Moon and the staff of the Animal Medical Clinic
welcome you to our website!
The Animal Medical Clinic is a service full companion animal hospital located at the intersection of U.S. Highway 1 and County Road 510 (the Wabasso causeway), convenient to Vero Beach, Sebastian, and the beach communities of Indian River County. We provide medical care primarily to dogs and cats, although small numbers of pocket pets, birds, and wildlife cases are also seen.
Our pets, like yours, are valued members of our families, and we understand your need for a partner in your pet's health care. Our entire healthcare team is comitted to providing individualized attention to the unique concerns of each individual pet and owner.
Like most veterinarians, we recommend comprehensive preventative care for your pet; unlike many, we customize our recommendations to the individual needs of you and your pet. At each wellness visit, your pet will receive a thorough physical examination and recommendations regarding such issues as diet and dental care. We work with you to determine vaccine schedules that are tailored to the lifestyle and risks of you and your pet. Laboratory work appropriate to your pet's age and physical condition will be recommended.
When illness or injury occur, we are able to provide a full range of diagnostic and treatment options, including an in-house diagnostic laboratory, radiology, ultrasound, and endoscopy for diagnosis, and a surgery suite and extensive pharmacy for treatment. Should your pet require care even more advanced than we are able to offer, we maintain cooperative relationships with a wide variety of dedicated veterinary specialists to whom we can refer you.
In the event of a medical emergency, we strive to provide after-hours services to established clients whenever possible. Since the Animal Medical Clinic is served by just one veterinarian, there are times when referral to other facilities is necessary, but much more commonly you will see the veterinarian who knows you and your pet when an emergency arises. We regret that practical constraints prevent us from seeing patients of other veterinarians after hours unless the referring veterinarian has made prior arrangements.
We thank our clients for their trust in us, and we work hard to continue to earn it. If you have not recently been to a veterinary clinic where you see the same veterinarian for every visit, receive individual attention for your pet, and have your concerns heard and addressed, give us a call at (772) 589-8990.
